1. Introduction

Sivy ("we," "us," or "our") is a campaign management platform that helps political campaigns, candidates, and field teams manage voter data, coordinate canvassing, and analyze campaign performance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website and services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

Sivy collects the categories of data listed below to provide and operate the canvassing and campaign management features. All data collected is used for app functionality, is linked to your identity, and is notused for tracking or shared with third-party advertisers.

2.1 Account & Contact Information

When a campaign administrator invites you to Sivy, we create an account storing your name, email address, and phone number (Contact Info), along with a unique User ID (Identifiers) and your assigned role within a campaign (e.g., campaign manager, canvasser). This identifies you, controls access to campaign data, and attributes your canvassing activity.

2.2 Voter & Resident Data

Campaign organizations using Sivy import and manage voter and resident records, which may include names, physical addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, date of birth, residency status (e.g., citizen, permanent resident), preferred language, and support status (supporter, neutral, non-supporter). This data is entered and managed by the campaign organization and stored securely on its behalf. Sivy acts as a data processor for this information.

2.3 Precise Location

When you use the Sivy Canvass mobile app, we access your device's precise GPS location to sort nearby voter addresses by walking distance during door-knocking and to record the GPS coordinates of each logged canvass visit. Precise location is only accessed while the app is active and is not collected in the background.

2.4 User Content & Visit Photos

During canvass visits, volunteers record notes, voter support status outcomes, and the issues residents raise. This content is stored with the visit record and is visible to authorized members of the same campaign. Canvassers may also capture a photo of the door or house during a visit for verification purposes. This photo is taken via the device's native camera only when the canvasser explicitly taps the "Take Photo" button, is uploaded and stored with the visit record, and is visible to authorized campaign managers. Photos are never captured automatically or in the background.

2.5 Technical & Security Data

We collect minimal technical data necessary to authenticate your sessions, secure the Services, and operate core functionality — such as authentication tokens and IP addresses used for security. We do not collect the following: Audio Data, Game Data, Health & Fitness data, Financial or Payment information (payment card data is handled entirely by our payment processor, Stripe, and never passes through or is stored by Sivy), Browsing History, Search History, Diagnostics or crash/performance data, or Coarse Location.

2.6 Google Play (Android) Data Safety

For the Sivy app on Google Play, the data below is collected and used for app functionality and account management. Data is encrypted in transit and can be deleted by the user at any time from within the app. Sivy does not share data with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes.

Sivy does not collect Financial info, Health & Fitness, Messages, Audio files, Calendar, Contacts, Web browsing, Search history, App interactions, or App info & performance (crash/diagnostics) data.

3. How We Use Information

• Providing and operating the campaign management tools and canvassing application.
• Authenticating users and managing team roles and permissions.
• Storing, organizing, and analyzing voter data on behalf of campaign organizations.
• Generating AI-powered insights, scripts, and analytics for campaign strategy.
• Sending account-related, invitation, and campaign notification emails.
• Maintaining security, preventing fraud, and complying with legal obligations.
• Improving our Services through aggregated, de-identified analytics.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

• Within campaigns: Team members within the same campaign organization may view voter data, visit records, and team information relevant to their role.
• Service providers: Trusted third parties that support our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, analytics), under appropriate confidentiality and data protection agreements.
• Legal compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or others.
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection of your data.

6. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain account and campaign data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. Campaigns may export or delete their voter data at any time. You can permanently delete your Sivy account and all associated personal data — including your profile, canvass visit history, turf assignments, and team membership — at any time from the in-app Settings screen ("Delete Account"). Upon deletion or account closure, we remove personal data in accordance with our retention schedule, unless retention is required for legal or accounting purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal exceptions).
• Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.
• Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

8. Political Data Notice

Voter and resident data stored in Sivy is provided and managed by the campaign organization using the platform. Campaigns are responsible for ensuring they have lawful authority to collect, use, and store voter information in compliance with applicable election laws, privacy legislation (including PIPEDA and provincial privacy laws in Canada), and voter registration regulations. Sivy acts as a data processor on behalf of the campaign.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to authenticate sessions, remember preferences, and analyze usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling them may affect functionality.

10. Tracking

Sivy does not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising or marketing purposes. We do not share data with advertising networks, data brokers, or third-party trackers. None of the data collected through Sivy is used for tracking as defined under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

11. Android App & Google Play Compliance

Permissions

The Sivy Android app requests precise location (Android ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) only while the app is in the foreground, to sort nearby voter addresses by walking distance and to record the GPS coordinates of canvass visits. Location is never collected in the background. You can revoke this permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Sivy → Permissions.

Device Settings & Behavior

In accordance with Google Play's Deceptive Behavior policy, Sivy does not modify your device settings or features outside the app, does not change system or browser settings without your knowledge and consent, and does not encourage or incentivize you to disable or remove other apps. Any in-app preference can be reversed by the user.

Accurate Description & No Misleading Claims

Sivy's store listing, title, icon, and screenshots accurately reflect its actual functionality as a campaign canvassing and field-management tool. Sivy is a private platform for campaign organizations; it is not an official government app and does not claim affiliation with any government entity or election authority.

Elections & Honest Content

Sivy does not produce, host, or promote demonstrably false content about elections or voting processes, and does not interfere with voting. Campaign organizations using Sivy are responsible for ensuring their communications are truthful and comply with applicable election and advertising laws.

No Dishonest Behavior

Sivy does not generate fake identification, documents, or facilitate deception of any kind. Any additional content downloaded by the app (for example, AI-generated campaign assets) is necessary for app functionality and, where significant, is disclosed with its size before download.

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your Sivy account and associated personal data at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, or by requesting deletion through your campaign administrator.

12. Children's Privacy

Sivy is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Sivy is intended for use by adults participating in political campaign activities. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
